Elder Network strives to serve as a network to assist caregivers and care receivers to find information, organizations and resources available in the community to meet an identified need. We focus on helping seniors and caregivers to maintain their general health and well-being, including their mental health; and to maintain independence and quality of life in a safe, supported environment.
What We Do. Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers to and from crucial health care appointments such as medical appointments. Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers to and from to non-medical locations. Companion Services provide a companion to assist in everyday task completion, so they can remain safely in their home.
The visitors program provides weekly socialization through having someone in home conversing with and engaging an older adult. Education opportunities consist of evidence-based workshops, monthly aging education events, health fairs, and community presentations.
Respite Care In-Home provides relief for the caregiver to complete out of home duties and non-medical tasks,. Senior Advocates are experienced social service professionals who provide information, referral and assistance to seniors and their caregivers. This is a treatment program designed to reduce symptoms of depression and improve quality of life among adults aged 60 years and better, including those with epilepsy. Volunteers are matched with clients to provide support, direction, and education on how to access applications on the iPad.
